Our operations are led by a dedicated Principal Officer – Retakaful, who oversees underwriting, ensures compliance with Shariah guidelines, and maintains operational excellence in all Retakaful activities.

Dr. Saif Al Hadi

Dr. Salim Al Harthi

Dr. Saif Al Hadi has been serving as a lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University since 2012. He holds a PhD in Comparative Islamic Doctrines (Ibadhi and Maliki) and a Master’s in Comparative Fiqh from Hassan II University in Morocco. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Sultan Qaboos Institute of Islamic Studies.

Dr. Abdullah Al Abri is a distinguished legal and Shariah consultant in Oman, with notable contributions to Islamic law and banking. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Board at Maisarah Islamic Banking (Bank Dhofar) since its inception in 2013. His past roles include lecturer at the College of Law, Sultan Qaboos University; visiting professor at the College of Shari'a Sciences, Muscat; legal advisor to Jibreen Company; and practicing lawyer accredited before the Supreme Court of Oman. He also serves on the Board of the Omani Lawyers Association and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Al-Buraimi University College.

He holds a PhD in Economics and Islamic Banking from Yarmouk University (Jordan), a Master’s in Fiqh and its Principles from Al al-Bayt University (Jordan), and a Bachelor’s in Shariah Sciences from the Institute of Shari'a Sciences in Oman.

Dr. Salim Al Harthi currently serves as Head of Fatwa Communication at the Iftaa Office within the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. He holds a PhD in Fiqh and its Principles and a Master’s degree in Usul al-Fiqh from the Islamic University of Malaysia. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fiqh and Da’wah from the Institute of Shari'a Sciences.
